Remember the Past While Enjoying the Present
Bundle up the family and take a step back in time to an era when logging was done by horse-power. Witness the camaraderie of the lumberjacks as they induct a fellow logger into the Lumberjack Hall of Fame. Lumberjacks will demonstrate crosscut sawing, jammer log loading techniques and more at the 30th Annual Logging Days Celebration.
Sleigh rides, provided by the Go & Whoa Harness Club, will be available all day, with the unique parade of horsedrawn sleighs beginning at noon. The traditional Lumberjack meal of all-you-can-eat flapjacks will be served in the Blacksmith Shop and hearty lumberjack stew will be served in the Chalet. Blacksmith demonstrations, Chainsaw Sculpting, Tomahawk throwing, craft vendors, spinning demonstration, along with entertainment by the First City Square Dancers and live music. Children's activities include the Paul Bunyan Costume Contest, an Axe Wood Carving session and a treasure hunt.
